Event Questions
Q. What are the dates for the Austin Mid-Singles Dinner Cruise Weekend
A. Friday to Saturday, November 5-7, 2010.
Q. When is the deadline for registration and payment?
A. The deadline has been set to October 19th, 2010 at midnight.
Q. Where is the Austin Mid-Singles Dinner Cruise Weekend going to be held?
A. There are several activities planned (see Event Schedule) but the main event is the Dinner Cruise. The docking location is 3700 Lake Austin Boulevard, next to the Hula Hut and Tom Miller Dam. The Dinner Cruise is hosted by Lake Austin Riverboats.
Q. Can I register when I arrive?
A. No. You must register via the internet by midnight, October 19th, 2010.
Q. Is there an advantage to registering early?
A. Yes, first-come, first-served. Due to capacity constraints of several of our activities, we anticipate the possibility of a waiting list. So register now!
Q. What should I wear?
A. Dressy-casual clothes are suitable on Saturday evening. Modest clothing is required at all times. LDS Standards of modesty and conduct are required for all attendees (see For the Strength of Youth pamphlet).
Q. What is the target age range for these events?
A. The target age range for attendees is from age 28 to 45. We will not be checking identification at our activities. However, if you do not fit this age range or are concerned if you should attend based on this criteria, please contact those on the planning committee (planning@austinmidsingles.com). They will be glad to discuss this with you.
Q. Can I attend if my divorce is not yet final?
A. No, your divorce must be final before 11/5/10.
Q. Can I bring my kids?
A. No, babysitting is not provided. This event is specifically for LDS mid-singles. The activities and venues are not child-appropriate.
Q. Can I help in any way?
A. Yes! We welcome committee members and volunteers. Please send an email indicating your contact information and area of interest/expertise to planning@austinmidsingles.com.

Financial Questions
Q. Can I cancel my registration?
A. Refunds less a $2.00 service charge are available if requested via email by October 16, 2010. Otherwise, you're welcome to sell your registration to another qualified guest. You must send a message to registration@austinmidsingles.com from the email address that you registered with to let us know of the change, otherwise that person may be denied entrance to the event.
Logistics Questions
Q. Are room accommodations included in the Austin Mid-Singles Dinner Cruise Weekend registration fee?
A. Yes. This year we have reserved a block of rooms in a local hotel close to event locations. Please see Accommodations for more information.
Q. Can I share accommodation and transportation costs with others?
A. Yes. This is encouraged, but each person will need to coordinate individually to share such costs. We encourage you to join the austinmidsingles Google Group. (See bottom of the Home page for instructions on how to join.) After joining, you can send emails to this list to communicate with other attendees about accommodation and transportation sharing. You can also communicate with and join Texas Midsingles on Facebook.
Q. Who is organizing the dinner cruise weekend?
A. A committee consisting of mid-singles from four stakes in the greater Austin area have organized these events. This year's conference is being hosted by the Round Rock Stake, Austin Texas Stake, Austin Texas Oak Hills Stake, and Kyle Stake.
